Ronald S. Bennett, CPA, Principal

For nearly 40 years, Ron has provided expert audit, accounting and tax-related services to commercial businesses, non-profit organizations and individuals. Managing principal of Albin, Randall & Bennett from 1989-2006, Ron is member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maine Society for Certified Public Accountants. He is also a peer reviewer and is currently president of New England Peer Review. He is a member and former treasurer of the Rotary Club of Portland, served on the board of the Maine Cancer Foundation from 2004 through 2010, and is active in the choir and administrative team of the First Congregational Church of South Portland. A graduate of Brown University, Ron received his MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College. He is married with two adult children.
Daniel P. Doiron, CPA, CVA, Principal
Specialty: High net-worth individuals, their families, and related business interests, Private Foundations
As principal in charge of ARB’s tax group, Dan focuses primarily on tax compliance and planning for high net worth individuals, corporations, partnerships, LLCs, estates, trusts, and private foundations. He has structured business acquisitions and sales from a tax perspective. Dan also provides tax-purpose related business valuation services. He is a member of the Maine Estate Planning Council and currently serves on its Board of Directors. Dan is also a member of the American Institute of the Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. He has served as member of the State and Local Tax Group of one of the world’s leading networks of accounting and business advisory firms.
A native of Brunswick, Maine, Dan joined ARB as an intern in January, 1986, becoming a principal of the firm in 1996. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Southern Maine, Dan received the State of Maine Gold Medal for his performance on the May 1987 CPA Examination. He is the author of several articles published by national professional publications. He has also developed and taught various accounting and tax seminars. Dan serves on the Board of Directors of the Brunswick Area Student Aid Fund and is a member of the Town of Brunswick Davis Fund Committee. Dan lives in Brunswick with his wife and two children.

Barton D. Haag, CPA, Principal
Specialty: Automobile and Motorcycle Dealerships
Bart’s primary focus is serving family-owned and privately-owned businesses with financial accounting, income tax planning and business consulting services. Since joining Albin, Randall & Bennett in 1996, he has specialized in automobile and motorcycle dealerships.
Bart is an active member and past Chairman of the AutoCPA Group, a nationally recognized group of Certified Public Accountants specializing in privately owned automotive businesses. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is licensed to practice in Maine, Massachusetts and Vermont. In addition to writing numerous industry articles, Bart has developed and taught seminars on various income tax and financial management issues.
He is past President and active board member of Maine’s oral deaf education center, hear ME now! and treasurer of the Princes Point Improvement Association. He began his accounting career in 1991 after graduation from University of Montana with a degree in Business Finance with an emphasis in accounting. He lives with his wife, Ilse, and two children in Yarmouth.

David V. Jean, CPA, CCIFP, Principal
Specialty: Construction and Real Estate Development
Since joining ARB in 1992, David has specialized primarily in financial accounting and consulting for construction and real estate development companies. His intensive involvement in the industry spans nearly two decades, and is reflected in his memberships in Associated General Contractors of Maine, Associated Builders and Contractors of Maine and New Hampshire, Construction Financial Management Association as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
David serves on the board of directors for the Associated Builders and Contractors of Maine and has written numerous articles on important tax and financial management issues. He was awarded the Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) designation in August, 2005. David graduated with High Distinction from the University of Maine at Orono with his BS and BA degrees. He resides in Auburn with his spouse Michelle and their two sons.
Cheri L. Walker, CPA, Managing Principal
Specialty: Credit Unions, Auto Dealerships, Buying & Selling Businesses
A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Cheri worked several years at Coopers & Lybrand before joining ARB in 1989. Her specialty is assisting credit unions meet their rigorous regulatory and auditing requirements. In addition to regularly attending the AICPA National Conference on Credit Unions, Cheri serves on the board of the Finance Authority of Maine. She earned her BS in Accounting from Bentley College. She lives with her two children in Falmouth.
