David V. Jean, CPA, CCIFP Appointed to New NASBP Accountant Advisory Council

Albin, Randall & Bennett (ARB) is pleased to announce that David V. Jean CPA, CCIFP has been selected from among a national pool of construction professionals to serve on the inaugural Certified Public Accountant Advisory Council to the NASBP (National Association of Surety Bond Producers). The newly formed council is a team of eight construction industry accountants representing CPA firms spanning the nation. Jean is a Principal with ARB and specializes primarily in financial accounting and consulting for construction, manufacturing and real estate development companies. He provides tax, accounting and management advisory services to contractors, manufacturers and developers throughout New England.

The NASBP Certified Public Accountant Advisory Council was recently formed to serve as a resource team to NASBP and provides substantive content to NASBP for articles, programs, and presentations on accounting, tax, and other financial issues regarding surety, government contracts, and construction topics for the betterment of the surety industry.

Since joining ARB in 1992, Jean has been actively involved in the construction industry as a member of Associated General Contractors of Maine, Associated Builders and Contractors of Maine and New Hampshire, Construction Financial Management Association, Manufacturers’ Association of Maine, as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He was awarded the Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) designation in August 2005. Jean is also the Director of Altus Exit Strategies, an exit planning subsidiary of ARB.

Jean is a graduate of the University of Maine and resides in Auburn, Maine.
