What It's Like Working for ARB: From Our Team
Karla Brannen | Senior Tax Manager – At ARB, you’ll have the opportunity to do both audit and tax work. You’ll also learn about a variety of different industries and experience challenging client work and rewarding teamwork. Those are huge assets for anyone serious about building a career in public accounting. I really enjoy the interaction with the clients, getting to know the people and their stories. ARB allows me to take the lead and build my own clientbase, and I am trusted to fulfill my responsibilities. It’s great to have the support of a team, as well as the internal resources and input for my own professional development.
Laura Everett | Director – ARB in one word? “Supportive”. ARB understands work/life balance. They stress the importance of successfully integrating your work life and your personal life. They allow flexible work schedules and the ability to work remotely when family/work schedules conflict or when the weather isn’t great.
Matt Marcoullier | Manager – My favorite aspect of working at ARB is the ability to tailor my work to meet my own professional goals and interests, as well as adjusting to maintain a work-life balance that works for me and my family. The emphasis on investing in individual employees and making sure their needs are met, coupled with the open-door management style, has helped to foster a community atmosphere at the firm, where everyone is a part of the team.
Lauren Brady | Assistant Senior Accountant – I was so happy to be hired as a full time staff member after my internship, and now as an Assistant Senior Accountant my work is becoming even more fulfilling, as I’m given so many opportunities to expand my base of knowledge and experience. One thing I really appreciate about the firm is its size. We are small enough that I know everyone’s names, have met their families, and get to work on a daily basis with everyone from interns to partners. At the same time, we are big enough to contain a huge body of knowledge, experience, and resources.
Kevin Hudon | Senior Accountant – When I walked through the door, I was part of the family. My first full year at ARB was a challenge and a learning experience like I had never had before (and it was awesome!). Now, three years later, I have taken everything I learned from my co-workers and experiences and catapulted from charming intern with promise into a rapidly rising star with a promising young career.
Dalton Myers | Senior Accountant – As soon as I started my internship, I knew ARB was going to be a great fit. Everyone was so accommodating and willing to help me learn and grow as an accountant from day one. After I accepted the full-time position and began getting more exposure, I knew I made the right choice. ARB, being a mid-sized firm, allows me to get experience on both audit and tax engagements across many different industries. The people who work here are great, and that translates to a hardworking yet fun office culture.
Career Development at ARB
We never stop learning. Continuous learning is one of our core values. The more you learn, the better ARB becomes, so we have a vested interest in your training. We regularly exceed the minimum hours of continuing professional education required for CPA licensure. We also have an enhanced training program with sessions to prepare you for industry-specific issues.
If you have an existing book of business, we’ll provide you with administrative and professional staff support to integrate your practice into ARB. Additionally, we’ll help you build your practice through transferred leadership of existing clients and business development.
Continuous training programs also keep our entire team in step with industry trends and legislative updates. We’re involved in national trade associations, holding leadership positions within a variety of groups, including the AutoCPA Group and the CPA Advisory Council for the National Association of Surety Bond Producers. We also regularly attend and host industry trade events.
